Dear Peter

It is with great sadness that I write this letter to you from many concerned citizens in your electorate. The country that I have known and loved for so long has gone mad. Everything is turned upside down. We feel we have no option but to try and take whatever action we can to try and restore balance to our country which is now viewed as a pariah state by many democratic nations overseas.

I never thought I would see the day when our government would deploy troops against its own people! What were you thinking? That all of these restrictions on our civil liberties have been instituted under a federal Liberal government is outrageous. The “Our Beliefs” page on the Liberal Party website states:

We Believe: In the inalienable rights and freedoms of all peoples; and we work towards a lean government that minimises interference in our daily lives; and maximises individual and private sector initiative. In government that nurtures and encourages its citizens through incentive, rather than putting limits on people through the punishing disincentives of burdensome taxes and the stifling structures of Labor’s corporate state and bureaucratic red tape. In those most basic freedoms of parliamentary democracy – the freedom of thought, worship, speech and association…

In the last 18 months you have trampled all of these beliefs into the dust.

• Your federal government has created the abomination of the “National Cabinet” giving free rein to power mad dictatorial State premiers and unelected Chief Health Officers (some of whom have not practiced medicine for decades) while standing back and letting it all happen.
• You have crushed small businesses and tourism. Locked people up in their own homes for no gain. Quarantine is the confinement of sick people; locking up healthy people is called tyranny.
• You have enforced your health mandates on many people who don’t agree with them.
• You are blackmailing and coercing the population to take an experimental medication that has not been properly tested. You seem to be intent on destroying the lives of those who will not bend to your demands.
• You have allowed the TGA to ban doctors from prescribing effective medicines that have been used safely for decades (Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine).
• You have banned doctors from testing patients for COVID antibodies.
• You have redefined the meaning of herd immunity to exclude natural immune response to disease. The definition of a vaccine has also been changed to accommodate the leaky jabs you are forcing people to take.
• You have allowed the waste of billions of dollars on useless tests on people who are not sick. How many hospitals could have been built with that money?

I have no doubt that we as a group have the power to ensure you are not returned at the next election unless these travesties are reversed. Leave people to make their own decisions regarding their own health and level of risk they are willing to accept in their own lives. There must be:

• No vaccine mandates.
• No Mask mandates.
• No more lockdowns.
• No banning of safe medicines.
• No recriminations for those who do not want the vaccine.
• An end to trying to scare the population into compliance. It is the job of government, as it was in World War II and other times of trouble, to reassure the populace, encourage them and to fill them with hope. Not to, as your government has done to your shame, threaten, blackmail and needlessly scare them into compliance.
• No restrictions on school attendance. You have sown the seeds of years of mental problems for many of our children.
• Dissolution of the disastrous National Cabinet.

There is time to turn back! I only hope this gives you pause for thought, as should the sound of the never-ending ambulance sirens that are in our streets, attending self-harm victims and other injuries created by your mandates. Our hospitals in Queensland are over-run when we’ve only had a handful of cases! Why?

Nearly two years ago this all started with “2 weeks to flatten the curve” that sounded sensible. However, since that prudent beginning, the federal and state governments have embarked on a totalitarian path which is descending into tyranny.

What will be your legacy? Will you be on the right side of history? Is this the future you want for your children? It is certainly not what we want for our children and grandchildren and that is why we are outside your office on this Saturday morning.

Give the people hope that your government is not here to crush us. I am hoping you will address our concerns in your constituency newsletter and give us reason not to vote you out at the next election.
